RS MOTO

Yes, I was finally there. The place, the spot, and the serenity I wanted to visit. RS MOTO, the place where music, food and of course vintage motorcycle (cars as well) meets.
Address: Naxal, Near to Gahana Pokhari.

It is my passion to discover new places with my friends. And RS moto was one of them. So here you go, my personal review of the place.

So, the place. It’s different. There are no fancy things. But everything feels so natural. The coffee bar, the seating spot, the garage, the store, the leather store and even the restroom is different from what you expect in a normal place. The entire structures are made of shipping containers, which was then cut and designed for accessibility. Even the owner’s place is made of container. It’s painted and feels so good. Everything around me feels like I am in the 80s to 90s.

And yes, there is a picture of the famous Isle Of Man, Tourist Trophy. A vinyl player and some vinyls were also sharing the space with the picture. Truely, it made the surrounding return to the perfected age.

Perfect transformation of idea into reality has created one of the best looking and retro styled cafe as well. The luminescene of colourful lights and peaceful tranquility can be found here. Sure you can drop a few minutes of your hectic life and enjoy this serenity here and lead a peaceful evening.

The most important of all, there are no bikes and scooters which are less than 1 decade old. I can relate it to the retro word but it would be all incomplete without the bikes he has to offer. Sure in the parking lot, you can see the hotshot glamours but when you enter the place Mr. Rajeeb Sayami has created, you would scream with ecstacy if you feel like it.

All of the talks would be non sense if there were no beauties lying around. Behind the workspace, there were classic models, that looked like they just came through a time machine.

The picture shown here is of Royal Enfield Bullet. It had a right sided gear system. We dont see them now as RE produces left handed gear bikes now. The bike next to the Enfield is the Triumph Thunderbird 650. It is a pre unit model, and is a love at first sight thing. The Triumph is Rajeeb's grandfather's bike and he takes it on ride frequently.

Thats Mr. Rajeeb
and me. Aside from the fact
that the bike is cool, Mr. Rajeeb is cooler than what I thought he would be!
He showed us all the areas spanning about 5.5 ropani. His ducati was not there when we came. I was wishing to get its photo but he showed us these gems which were rusty but after restoration, would be no match for any bikes I have seen with my naked eyes.

The first bike is a Honda CB500F. It looks like Mr. Rajeeb has a lot of work to do on the 500F. It has 4 cylinders. Imagine it, the current line up of the fastest production motorcycle have 4 cylinders. And this 500F had 4 cylinders way back.
Another one has no esthetic component and is Honda GL650. I was amazed to find this bike because it has a shaft drive which you dont see everyday and it has a different engine layout, like that of Moto Guzzi. This is the first bike I have ever seen with a shaft drive system. [There is no chain in shaft drive system]

There were other models too. He has the following beauties;

Piaggio Vespa 150, Honda CD 175, BSA Starfire, Honda CB360, Honda CG195. I saw these beauties around. I dont recall seeing their previous builds and the Ducati.
But there was this beautiful VW Pontoon 1600 in the parking lot. I questioned around and found out it was also Rajeeb's.

This is his home/garage/workspace/passion and everything. He has a vision to initiate custom bike culture in the recent future. There is no fun in riding a stock bike, where everything is chosen by a few people and has to be ridden by very large number of people.
Kudos to you, kudos to your dream kudos to your passion.
